The telecommunication department of India was working for Central Equipment Identity Registration since 2017 and then it has developed a powerful portal through which the lost and the stolen phone can be directly blocked for tracked. It is done by using simple techniques or better known as the IMEI number which is a Unique Identification number of each handset that has been sold in India for very long. So, through the register it will be a great treat for all of the people who have lost their cell phones or their cell phone has been stolen by someone.
The main benefit through the implementation of the CEIR Initiative by the government is the blockage of the mobile handset which has been lost or stolen. The tracks of the mobile phone will be kept by the IMEI number which has been designated to the unique mobile handset in India and if you block your mobile number through the central equipment investigation register your stolen mobile handset will not be able to gain any network coverage with any network company in near future.
